NEW Multi coil pair for Jazz Bass

The Jazz or “Deluxe Model Bass” introduced in 1960 was the 1^st. Choice for Bassists who wanted to be more "in the mix" 

We have been asked over the years to produce a multi-coil version of this Popular Bass pickup model & this, finally is our latest addition to our multi-coil pickup range. With an output slightly lower than a standard Jazz pair, our 4 Coil Jazz pair offers the sweetness in tone, characteristic of our Multi-coil pickups & this pair is available in 4 types.

1. series wired coils in Pseudo Single Coil configuration, to give a Humbucker over 2 pickups, like the traditional Jazz pair.

2. Full Humbucker per pickup 

3. 1 Single coil per string

4. 1 humbucker per string over 2 Inter-linked pickups.

*for options 3 & 4 a dedicated coil balancing pre-amp will be needed. Option 1 & 2 can be used with either a standard pre-amp for series wired pickups or can be used in a passive circuit.

Tough Phenol or flatwork as standard

Modern earth shielded hook-up wire

Wax saturated (potted) coils against microphonic feedback

ALL Herrick pickups are supplied with fixing screws & metal coil springs. We strongly advise against using a FOAM type cushioning under our pickups as FOAM can distort or damage the pickup covers we produce & interfere with the pickup's ability to function correctly.
