Rebuilding an old bass with a modern, factory made bridge, I tried to remove the chrome plating from the saddle pieces with a gas torch. Surprised to see the "metal" bubble & form a pool of white crystal. Guess I'm not the only one sick of poor quality parts, found this mangle cog & decided to build one from scratch, the corners were missing so brass was cut & silver soldered in. the saddles are heat blued steel & the channels were milled in. The metalwork on the instrument has been treated to match. Neck is from an old European made P-bass, body is cut from a single piece of Ash & stained with A home made dye.
